Action Pants is a creative partnership between theatre artists Christine Brubaker and Laura Philipps. They develop performances at the intersection of live theatre, audio narrative and interactive digital experiences.

Together, they created HenryG20 in 2021, a theatre production experienced through mobile app containing a walking tour, audio drama, and augmented reality documentary scenes - deployed for asynchronous audiences Luminato Festival (digital) during the social distancing era.

Christine Brubaker, Director
Christine Brubaker, Director
Christine Brubaker is a director, performer and educator. Over her 30-year career as a freelance artist, she worked on many of Canada’s large and small stages and has directed over 25 world premieres She is an alumnus of the National Theatre School and the Michael Langham Program for Classical Direction at the Stratford Festival. Christine is on faculty at UCalgary’s School of Creative and Performing Arts where she teaches directing and acting.

Laura Philipps, Producer
Laura Philipps is a Producer and Production Manager of theatre, dance, and multimedia performance works. Her practice centres around new work development, creative leadership, and process design. Laura's collaborations combine mediums and innovate technological applications.
